Generally daffodils do this in Atlanta and they are fine although the foliage can get a bit ratty. You can put pine straw over them when temps dip below freezing. Same with hardy lilies and iris.

Paper whites will need more protection. You can cut the buds and bring them in (put them in vase with water to enjoy them - leave the foliage out to gather sunshine to make energy for next year) if they are big enough. Otherwise, I put a bucket over them to protect them from freezing temps overnight, then remove the bucket when it warms up in the morning.

This happens every year. They will be fine, you can cover them with mulch if you want.
