Too late to plant Ginkgo tree?

So here we are a day before winter starts, and I have a Ginkgo Biloba Maidenhair tree, about 5-6 feet tall in a container, that I am just now getting a chance to plant. I live in Augusta, and the winters here are quite mild, though we've had a few light frosts in the mid-low 30's so far this year. I keep hearing this tree is tough as nails, but I want to give it a reasonably good start. Is it too late to plant at this point in the year?
