| Mark Your Calendars for the 18th Annual Bainbridge in Bloom Garden Tour, July 15 & 16, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., or join us for the private preview, Friday, July 14. It’s your ticket to bloom! Visit beautiful gardens flourishing in unexpected places such as hillsides, terraces and small spaces and see for yourself how to turn even the most challenging space into a personal oasis. Garden themes range from romantic terracing reminiscent of a Tuscan villa to spatial landscaping featuring an array of outdoor "rooms" marked by meandering paths, stunning rock formations, bronze sculptures and magnificent views. There’s a lot to learn as well as see including the advantage of deer-resistant plants and sustainable gardens, and how neighbors short on space can work together to create gardens of uncommon beauty and symmetry. At the garden tour’s Festival hub, which is open to the public, enjoy artists, plant vendors, container gardening demonstrations, and catch the free shuttle buses to the gardens courtesy of Kitsap Transit. Special presentations by Ciscoe Morris and Lucy Hardiman of Fine Gardening Magazine will make your visit complete. Purchase tickets before May 15 and enjoy Early Bird ticket prices: $25 for adults and $12 for children 4-12. After May 15 tickets are $30 for adults and $14 for children 4-12. Bike the Bloom for $20! For those making a weekend of their visit to the West Sound, Bainbridge In Bloom and the Sequim Lavender Festival, July 15 & 16, are partnering to offer reduced price tickets to both events. Call 206.842.7901 and ask for the "Weekend Getaway" special! Visit our Web site for Private Preview details or to purchase tickets online http://gardentour.info, or call 206-219-3182.
