| Hi Northern Gardeners,
Wausau WI has a new botanical garden; the Robert W. Monk gardens. Here's a link to their website: http://home.rwmonkgardens.org/ They are still in the development phase but they have started running events throughout the year. First they are also having a luncheon on March 19th, 2011 where Richard Witt (hostas) from Witt's gardens and Nate Bremer from Solaris Farms (daylilies) will be speaking. You can sign up for that on the website. There will be a plant sale on 5/21/11 that will feature deer resistant perennials and a garden flea market. Then there will be bus trips this summer to some fun garden destinations the Eau Clare area on 6/25/11 and heading east to Solarus and beyond on 7/23/11. Details for all of the events are on the website and if you sign up as a friend you will be notified of future events also. Catrina |
