garden club planning a plant sale

Our Garden Club is planning a fall plant sale. We have heard other people talk about plant sales and what a joke they were. So we want to have a really nice one. And we know that pricing is a big issue. We don't plan on pricing high.I was wondering if anyone has some good ideas that they can share. We talked about doing plants, and if we can find a cheap source for pumpkins and gourds, bittersweet, hedge apples,corn shalks, old garden tools,pots, magazines and books and some craft items and sweet annie.
Would love any suggestions.
