Gardener’s Plant Exchange

Gardening enthusiasts are invited to join us at the Arboretum for a fun evening of learning, sharing & swapping. Gather your favorite seeds, divide your perennials, or dig out some of your plants that have outgrown their space.

To make this a rewarding experience for all, please review the following suggestions and information:

· Bring only well cared for plants.

· Dig them up now, divide, separate and re-pot.

· Bring only healthy plants with no disease or pests.

· Water and feed if necessary.

· Identify your plant by common and/or botanical name & indicate flower color or interesting feature.

· Plants must be in quarts, gallons or larger size containers.

· Seeds must be contained in sealed container, and identified. Seeds are only for sharing. No vouchers will be issued for seeds.

· We reserve the right to refuse any plants not meeting these criteria.

On Tuesday, September 16 at 8:00am, participants may drop off plants at the visitors center and pick up vouchers. Vouchers will be issued by the size of the pot and plant. Quart=1 voucher, Gallon=2 vouchers, Larger than gallon=3 vouchers. All plants will be inspected by staffing of the Arboretum. The swapping will begin at 5:00pm. No early birds please.
