Thirty-something gardeners near Madison, WI?

| Hi, everybody!
I recently moved into a house on five acres of land near Madison, Wisconsin. I'm sort of new to the area (I went to UW--Madison but then lived overseas for 13 years) and I've been looking around for some new friends whose eyes don't glaze over when I talk about plants! So far I've met several very nice, accomplished gardeners who are 20, 30 or even 40 years older than I am, and I've been amazed by their knowledge and generosity.
However, I'd really like to find a couple of "gardening buddies" who are closer to my age (mid-30s) -- in years or in outlook -- and would like to swap ideas and maybe get together now and then for a botanical field trip or just a good meal in Madison.
Is there anybody out there in south-central Wisconsin who fits this description?
