Interest in Plant Swap for Plans

Posted by Katie88 z7 NC (My Page) on

Hi All!
I'm Katie (or Kathy), fairly new to GW, 2 years in NC.
I'd like to know how much interest there would be in a Plant Swap in Rutherford County. I can reserve a Community Shelter for free if do so now for August 27, 2005.
My home is unacceptable for this since it's built into a hill, little space to park, etc...
The location would be easily accessible to upstate SC, WNC and ? else wishes to appear.
I've never hosted one, if anyone wishes to come forward and aid me, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Katie

Hi Katie - go ahead and just make your post. What've you got to lose? You'd be surprised how easy it is and how many people will respond over the next couple months when they see your post and recognize the name of your location. Try re-posting thusly (this is just an example): "Forest City NC swap 8-27-05". I looked at the NC map and chose the next largest city near you, but change the name of location as needed. Then, based on the number of replies, decide to go ahead and reserve the space. If there is no interest, dont reserve. Good luck. PS: I am making my post today also regarding my plant swap here in Lewisville NC Sat. Apr. 30, 2005. It's never too early begin collecting names and email addresses. Just think of all the garden buddies you'll meet this way with or without the swap. Robin
