 o

When I was still living in Germany we had these pretty trading geraniums which were planted in hanging baskets or boxes in the window board. These geraniums would grow up to 4 feet and had little blooms in all red and pink varieties. I know there are hundred diffrent kind of geraniums but I couldn't find any like these here in Alabama last summer. Can anybody name me some of these hangin/trading kinds so I can mail order them for the next season? Thanks a lot
Manu

Manu, the "ivy leaved" geraniums ...pelargonium peltatum...
is one variety that has many, many colors to adorn hanging baskets.

Ivy leaved geraniums are one of the most purchased varieties and should be found practically anywhere geranium is sold.

Perhaps a little finger walking through the lists of nurseries in your area would prove beneficial.

bamakrautie, you can mail order the Alpine geraniums from Wheeler's in Conneticut. Look them up on the internet. I think they start shipping in March. I am even thinking or ordering the Balcon or the cascading Alpine type. Good luck.
