geranium cuttings

Last fall I rescued three very large plants - she was just going to let them freeze! The plants are doing well and I would like to take cuttings. Questions: 1. when should I do this for spring/early summer plant out 2. how long of a piece - some branches are at least 12" 3. keep the cuttings moist or let almost dry out. The plant foam idea is great - I even found some blocks in my basement storage. It is a tri-color (leaf) exotic geranium. Thank you so much! Piegirl

Hi piegirl - make mine apple :)

Here is one simple method I use for the the Pelargonium - I think that is what you are referring to; the Geranium is the hardy herbaceous plant.
