 o
geranium potting mix

Can dry oak shred be used to bulk out a bed for expanding my pet geranium?

It blooms year round in a pot that's nearly three feet across. I want to divide and make a huge bed, where the plant will be as large as a car! A neighbor just lost a big red oak to lightning and the stump-shred pile is nearly as large as a car.

Thanks for help!

RE: geranium potting mix

Well, I wouldn't use too much of fresh wood, better to age it. Fresh wood shavings will leach out the nitrogen and you'll have deficiency.
