Has anyone ELSE had the family dog devour a scented geranium?

I had just gotten three in trade and potted them; a day later I went out and there were only two in the big pot with just a patch in the mulch to mark the other.
I asked my sister and she said, Oh, THAT was it. She had turned around to see the dirt-covered roots disappear down the Bull Terrier's gullet; swift but cautious attempts at retrieval were not rewarded.
It was the smallest one; she has not tried to nip any more.
Perhaps she got a tummy ache.
I've heard of cats nibbling them, but dogs? This thing was a good mouthful, too.

I haven't, my dogs ignore mine, so my question would be what "scent" (flavor-lol) was it?

Pets are so entertaining!

It was a rose scented one. She has eaten rose leaves

right off bushes; off of THORNY bushes too.
It's a very good thing I went for an Edible garden because these canines eat everything. If I had the Castor Bean plants and the Datura everyone else has here I'd have two dead dogs.
There is no accounting for their appetites; also their plantlusts change and what they wanted yesterday they don't want today and the thing I thought was safe suddenly has crescents taken out of it (like my thornless Opuntia...)
They have even eaten mature fig leaves and that's like eating sandpaper. And yes, they are well fed.

It's always amazing the stuff dogs think is a tasty treat. Living with dogs is sort of like living with a walking garbage can, isn't it? Still, I can't imagine being without them.
