| Never been to this forum before but I'm hoping some of you geranium experts can advise. I have now aquired several different varieties and am trying to name them. Some which came named seem to be different shades of color in their flowers, and even the height descriptions seem off. How much does the soil type and number of hours in sun/shade effect the coloring and growth of these plants? What is the best method to identify accurately these plants? Thanking you all in advance, Barb |

RE: identification questions

| I have found that quite often, tags are switched on plants, or they are mis-identified at the place of origin. Many a time I bought a plant and later-on found out that it wasn't what I wanted. My advice is just to enjoy the beauty, whatever the name or no-name. Also, to answer the other part of your question, I have had plants that you would have a hard time believing that they were the same, just because of the differences in growing conditions.(Sun, shade, moisture, etc.) |
