ID 3 hardy geraniums please

These came to me in trades. Wow - this this confusing. The first one, I think is G. sanguineum, The second one has larger leaves.

The third has two picture, a close up of the leaf and a CU of the bloom. It is taller, up to 30" maybe, blooms right after the bleeding heart, then dies back when it gets hot. Lt. pink blooms.

Thanks,

Penny

You are correct on the first. The second looks like G. macrorrhizum.

I'm not sure on the third -- how tall is it?

#1 Sanguineum, #2 macrorrhizum and #3 our native geranium, G. maculatum.

Could it be that there is Campanula rapunculoides (horrible weed) sprouting within the G. sanguineum. Just thought that it could have been mixed in the root clump. If you dont know the stuff growing with the Geranium watch closely.
    Cheers, Lin

You've got a sharp eye Lin. That's Campanula 'Cherry Bells' that's crowding his neighbor. I did plant it there - It's blooming now - so all is forgiven. I'll try to transplant the wayward part and give it to friend or trade.

    Thanks,
    Penny
