Geranium 'Black Beauty' Foliage Problem

Posted by mwieder z5 NE OH (My Page) on

I have a concern about my hardy Geranium 'Black Beauty.' Last season was its first in my garden and this spring it has come back and sent out about 5 or 6 smaller leaves, but none have fully unfurled - they are all still somewhat rolled up. Is this normal, and if not, what is the problem? I went to great lengths acquiring this plant and I'd hate to lose it.
thanks!

RE: Geranium 'Black Beauty' Foliage Problem

Depends on your weather there in Ohio. Here it has been such an odd spring that many plants are stalled in development due to the chilly weather. Usually by now it's in the 70's regularly...this year we're having trouble breaking the 60's mark. Maybe the same for you there.
