I had this one years ago -- it is a compact variety of Geranium sanguineum (Bloody Cranesbill). Plant in full sun to partial shade in any good garden soil, and you should do fine.

I have it, and love it ... i have so many of it now, it is growing for me like a weed, but i love it... to me, it is the perfect flower ... i have it here there everywhere, shade sun, whatever.

I have had mine for about 5 years. It is a compact plant making a neat mound about 10 inches tall and 24 inches wide. It increases very slowly. It blooms for a brief two or three weeks and the rebloom is not worth mentioning. I would not recommend it. I would try dividing it and moving the divisions (as birdie above) but I just don't like it that well.
