sloppy Johnson's Blue

I love the color on my 2 Johnson's Blue geraniums, and am used to them flopping after bloom. This year they are flopping before they bloom! The flower heads are there but only 1 or 2 have opened yet. Is there any way I can stop them from doing this? They are covering adjacent plants. Obviously I can't shear them now. Last year I sort of pushed them together with stakes but it didn't look very nice. There are peony cages but they are too wide and tall for these.

I cut down a tomato cage and used the top section for Johnsons blue. It works great.

I grow mine between hostas and geranium sanguineum 'Album'.It starts blooming about the same time the Johnson's Blue is finished and I cut them back. This has eliminated the need for staking by giving them something to lean on.
