My 'Nimbus' not sterile

ontnative

I have several plants purchased from reputable sources as Geranium 'Nimbus' situated in different parts of my garden. They bloom like the pictures of 'Nimbus' on the net. I also have several plants that look exactly like 'Nimbus' seedlings. The leaves look like Nimbus but some of these plants have flower colours that are slightly different from Nimbus, i.e. slightly pinker or lighter purple colour. I thought 'Nimbus' was supposed to be sterile. Why am I getting seedlings? I grow many other perennial geraniums, but these Nimbus (?) seedlings don't look like any of these. Some of these "babies" look just like 'Nimbus', same flower colour, etc.
