According to what I've read, my Johnson's Blue should be blooming now. It's not. It's putting up tons of new leaves, to the point that they are spilling out over the planter, but no blooms.

It's in full sun, well watered once a week, fertilized, and sprayed for insects (Fertilome Borer, Bagworm, Leafminer and Tent Caterpiller) at least every ten days. What gives?

I'm kinda hoping it will bloom a bit later as all the plants surrounding JB are just now getting ready to put on a show (Dahlia's, Shasta daisy 'Becky', Dwarf Balloon flower). Any ideas as to when this guy will get the show on the road?
