double blooming ivy geranium question

The blooms on this plant are balling up, turning brown and really not opening. The blooms looked great when we bought the plant. Not sure what the problem is. I've been feeding it and watering. I think we may be over watering. The plant itself looks great. It's just the blooms that we're having problems with. Any suggestions?

Someone PLEASE correct me if I am wrong, but I have been doing a lot of reading on these. From what I gather you should wait until they start to dry out or otherwise they put all their energy into the plant and not the bloom. Ok,lets see if all these posts I have been reading are right. LOL!

I think that organicmom is correct. Try less water.
