Jolly Bee Geranium

I just purchased a Jolly Bee Geranium. It says on the tag from the grower it grows 30" with a 40" spread. When I got home I looked it up on the internet and most sites state around 12 inches for the height. Does anyone have experience with this plant? I would love to know how tall it gets. I would also like to know experiences with it in zone 4. Thanks.

Valerie

I have had one for a few yrs. It is under 2 ft. tall, and not that wide. It is not a spreader, like some I have had. I am pulling out all my spreading ones this fall. I love this plant, and plan to put in more.

I too want to pull out all my spreaders. I'd love to know which ones behave, yet bloom for a long time. I have Rozanne, which I love.

I've had Jolly Bee for 3 yrs now. It gets about 12-15" high and it's about 3 ft wide now. It's a sprawling geranium, not a tall one. When you plant it, make sure it has plenty of room to sprawl around. This one is my favorite because it blooms from mid to late June until a hard frost. If it gets too wide for you, just trim it some. It won't bother it a bit. I've read too where it can get 2' high, but mine isn't near that. I think that happens in warmer zones.
I hope you enjoy our plant. I just love it!
I'm including a link from Kemper Center. They are in zone 6, but it still can give helpful info.

I live in US z.4 and just love G. Jolly Bee, preferring it to Rozanne, to which it is related. I grow mine in part shade and average to somewhat dry soil.
