Identify this geranium

Posted by jasonleezahn MN (My Page) on

This little geranium has been in our family for many years. We call it a "Swedish Geranium" because it is supposedly from Sweden. The story goes that a lady brought over a cutting in her bra (but who knows how true that is). The geranium has small green leaves, and single pink flowers. I was just wondering if it is an actual variety or type of geranium.

Here is a link to some pictures of the plant:

Any help would be great!

RE: Identify this geranium

I noticed one small mistake in my posting. I meant to say "small light green leaves" because the leaves are slightly lighter than many geraniums (like orbits).

RE: Identify this geranium

I can't get your picture. Can you use the URL link that gardenweb provides.

pelargonium ID

All I know is that it is a pelargonium, very pretty. I only have much experience in hardy (outdoor) geraniums.

To post a photo--
Get a photobucket account--it's free. Upload your photo. Under the picture you'll see a bunch of URL formats for the picture. Click on the one that says HTML. It should automatically copy. Go to the thread here and right click and choose paste. It will show up as writing but when you submit it will be a picture.

RE: Identify this geranium

I can see the picture by copying and pasting the link. it shows a smallish leaved pink pelargonium with single and semi double flowers. No idea what it's called.

Here is a link that might be useful: OP's geranium picture
