Midnight Reiter Needs Help

Posted by i_dig_it z5 IL (My Page) on Thu, Jul 26, 07 at 0:59
I got this about a month ago and planted it in full morning sun among some hostas. It soon started shriveling up and I thought it was a goner, so I dug it up and potted it after I saw a couple of teenie tiny leaves starting to regrow.
It's still not doing so good.
What conditions does this one like? Or is it a weak variety?

Janet, 'Midnight Reiter' is of the Geranium Pratense family (meadow geranium), and reputed to be slow growing. So I wouldn't worry too much if I were you, just give it time to recover! As it is only "heeling", I'd leave it in a pot in half shade for a while, keep it moist but not too much, and plant it in a sunny position next fall... Zephirine |
