HI I have jsut potted up some geraniums to use as backdrops for pictures at our local 4-H club horse show. They are a bit leggy- they were free at the local grocery store. The show is on the 3rd of august. If I cut them back will they have growth in that amount of time or should I just leave them?

RE: Cutting back geraniums

Hi, I planted geraniums that got leggy and asked the same question at another forum. I was told to snap the flowers off at the top of the plant to below the joint of the sem of the flower about 1/2". I don't know when the forse show is but they are suppose to grow in- bushier in 2-4 wks.
