This year I discovered (by accident) that ivy geraniums in a hanging basket are a perfect fit for my porch and seem to thrive there (as opposed to the darned petunias). I would like to grow some from seed (along with cuttings) but hard to know which ones to look for. If you have a favorite ivy geranium would you share which one it is and why its your favorite?
And if you happen to know where I can purchase seeds, I would love to hear that too! Am excited to have a new basket plant for next year.
My favorite is White Nicole, it blooms profusely and they are very pretty. I've just gotten into Ivy geraniums this year. Yours looks a lot like mine but more pink-is there a pink Nicole?
I grew to mix varieties this year. One was the well known summer showers and the second was tornado. The tornado was a much better variety than summer showers. Tornado is well branched is a very compact plant with no need to pinch to keep its shape. The blooms are held tight to the foliage and not hanging too far downward like summer showers.
