Full StoryI battled budworm last year and didn't see any this year until just a couple of weeks ago. It is difficult to find BT here in France and I was wondering if there are any natural remedies for this other than going out at night with a flashlight and picking them off.
It doesn't freeze here in the South of France and in fact, the pelargoniums even bloom a bit in the winter, so there's no chance of freezing the larvae. I sometimes spot a few in the morning or early evening hours, but they are really difficult to see as they match exactly the colour of the buds and no matter how carefully I look, I can never find where they hide out during the day.
