Many leaves...No Blooms!

Hi,
Bought very healthy, thriving generic pellies in Spring. Deadheaded them...didn't overwater...but now there are just leaves and have not bloomed in about 2 months (that's not entirely accurate...the buds that DO appear are shriveled and brown).

They're in a south window. What am I doing wrong? Maybe the fertilizer I'm using is not good for pellies (Miracle Grow all purpose & sometimes African Violet 7-7-7) Are there more suitable fertilizers than the ones I am using? Also, the heat & humidity have been insane -- do I need to shade them for part of the day? Thanks for any suggestions, names of fertilizers, etc.

I would stop fertilizing for a month and see what happens. My potted ones rarely get fertilized. Also is that a very hot window? Is there an eastern ezposure you could try?

Pellies do not like intense sun, place them where they will have only morning sun or filtered light during the day. Your fertilizer sounds ok but you don't want to overdo it. I use balanced fert., 1/4 tsp.per gallon with most waterings. Occasionally plain water, rainwater when I have it.Some people use tomato fertilizer for the high potassium which encourages blooming. Again - less is more!
