Alpine Geraniums

Has anyone had experience with balcon or alpine geraniums.They are the kind we would see in europe hanging from balcony window boxes. I'm told they get 2 to 3 ft long and full of blossoms. Am thinking about them for next year.

RE: Alpine Geraniums

They all seem to be variations of what are commonly called here as "ivy geraniums", which are used most often in hanging baskets or window boxes. Their natural form of growth is not upright like standard zonal geraniums but very lax and cascading. And they flower very heavily, IME. I've grown several different kinds, including the 'Acapulco' listed in the link below.
