White spots on my flowers

Hello I have 2 wonderful geraniums(red) blooming pretty regularly, but once my husband watered them, and after that, something happened...All flowers are covered with tiny white spots. today I noticed one leaf also has a much larger white spot. What should I do? Are there any medications for this disease? I have other plants in the same room so I don't want anything to "spread". Also, the buds of the flowers never opened and are covered with white spots and looking down. The white spots are on the "under" side of the flower, so on open flowers you have to look under or you won't notice. HELP PLEASE.

RE: White spots on my flowers

Look carefully underneath and around the leaves. Could there be small thrips or other insects? The geranium and pelargonium families do not like getting their leaves wet; and also, if it is too hot, they could have a bit of scorch from the sun which appears in patches. If it is on the buds however as you pointed out, I doubt it is sun scorch.

Can you move them somewhere else, like outside; for a week or so? It just might air and dry them enough to stop what is going on. Or, you could take cuttings from a healthy part of the plnats and start over or raise them with the older ones.
