Can I put them in the ground?

I have been growing hardy geraniums in pots on my deck this year. I started them inside from seed brought them outside and babied them all summer long. I was wondering if I can plant them in the ground now or should I put them in my garage and plant in the spring. It's about 4 weeks to the first frost date.

get them in the ground because they will try to grow in your garage and probably end up dying.

I agrre with pellie grower. I've heard that perennials can actually be transplanted all year round, if they get proper care after. Be sure to keep them well watered before hard freeze of winter, as dry roots can not handle freeze well. With 4 weeks to go, they will get a good start.
