Geranium pruning

Posted by michellenyc (My Page) on

Hi - I've had a few house geraniums for a number of years that do beautifully. Just recently, one stopped flowering and has grown a really tall stalk. No leaves on the bottom few inches but plenty of healthy ones at the top. Do I cut this down? How far? Any chance of it reflowering?
Thanx!

RE: Geranium pruning

Yes, cut it down to about 3 or 4 inches; you will see new shoots eventually. It is lack of pruning that causes legginess in many cases.
