Nimbus bareroot arrived yesterday--now what?

I've NEVER dealt w/bareroot anything before......do I soak it first? Dip in rooting hormone? Just stick into the ground? The thing looks dead, and I haven't the slightest idea what to do with it!

Bought it from Gilbert H. Wild, but no planting instructions enclosed...

I would soak it in water about 20 minutes, then plant right away. It will probably come back. Lots of plant claim, 'Oh, you've kilt me!' when you disturb them. But they come back and forgive you ;-)

Oh, thank you, Cantstopgardening! I will hope, and cross those fingers....;-) It's been raining here ALOT, so I followed your advice, and planted it into the very rain-soaked bed that I had it designated for (figuring, as I planted it IN the rain, that it'd get that soaking, for sure!). I trimmed back some of the super-dead stems the other day, and there's live plant in there......I'm really hoping with optimism!

    Thanks for your advice. =)
