Maybe they are going through a bit of a shock this year. We had such a weird year weatherwise here in Wisconsin, nothing seems to be behaving as usual. Hopefully they are starting to adjust by now. If not, could you post a picture?

I'm having a tough year with mine too. They have rust. Yuck! 'Just wanted you to know you aren't alone in 'pellie' problems this year. :-)

I don't know if my weather applies to anyone else but the plants I bring in to overwinter are in severe denial. It has gotten unseasonal cold in the Great Lakes and the temperature difference is a big shock. It is definitely not the usual circumstances and leaf drop while significant is unlikely to be fatal. I make sure to keep the plants on the dry side so as not to get root problems during the adjustment period.
