i don't have a picture so i'm hoping a description will suffice. I'm almost sure it's an aeschynanthus except that i can't find any pictures of the one i have. all the leaves are a dark plum color except for the very young ones and more mat than shiny. the flowers have a slighlty velvety 'envelope' that is very dark plum looking black from far away and the flower is a vivid crimson red. hope this is enough!
funny until today i didn't even know this plant was from the same family as african violets!...
