How To Tell: Cyclamen Mites or Too Much Light or Fertilizer

This may have been covered elsewhere but I can't find it.

I realize if it's an entire or most of a collection odds are it's mites; but what if it's only one or two like plants sitting next to each other and all the rest are symptomless?

With Episcias, can not enough humidity also be the culprit?

I think it is the lights. I wasn't paying attention and put three Episcias on my "isolation stand" but only about six inches from two 20 watt bulbs. The rest of the plants on the stand are baby AV trailers and they're just fine; but they're not as close to the lights, either.

Chalk it up to dumb, but I also left the lights on 24/7 for almost a month. Well, it wasn't really dumb. I left them on so my DH would have light on the way to the woodstove. He doesn't believe in flashlights; thinks he can see in the dark. :-)

Thanks!

Linda
