Growth Habits of Petrocosmeas

Posted by frankiokc AR (My Page) on

I am interested in obtaining some petrocosmeas, but am concerned about the space some of them may take up on my light stands. Could someone tell me how large the following will get if grown in 2 1/2" - 3" pots?

My plant room ranges from 72(night)- 86(day)degrees in the summer. Will I be able to grow these varieties of petrocosmeas with temps that high? My humidity ranges from 45%-75%.

Thanks for your advice on growing these plants before I purchase them.

I believe all petrocosmeas are very small about the size of a miniature African violet.

Temperature is 45 to 70 degrees F. They can withstand temps in the 80s for short periods but it is best to keep them cool.

Good luck with them. Do try them unless you live in a very warm temperature.
