I don't know it it's the same thing, but some of my Streps occasionally get "fiddle" shaped leaves. They grow narrow toward the rib for a while before they widen out.

Is that what yours is doing?

It is truly a relief to know that someone else has heard of such a thing. Thanks. How are yours getting on?

I've been watching it like a mother hen, and the bottom of the leaf IS growing out wide again. Is there anything I can do to help it along?

I've asked several growers what caused it and none of them knew. They said sometimes it just happens and to not worry. I have been successful growing babies from those leaves, too.
