I am almost ready to divide my tuber which is just now showing some sprout.. I read where i need at least a couple of growths in order to succeed, and then cut the tuber between those 2 growths. What if i just get one growth?

And if your second part doesn't have a viable bud? Your half tuber can be "blind".

If you wait a bit - large tubers usually have more than one stem - so you will have better chance.

I usually put the leaf or the stem cuttings down - and they root real fast. the tip cuttung will give you a tuber and bloom next cycle, the leaf - will give you a new sprout and also a tuber, but it will take a bit longer to bloom.

Good Luck
