Full StoryI have 4 whole leaves with their stems in a mason jar stuck thru aluminum foil to keep the leaves out of the water. They have been there 6 weeks and have little bulbs with root hairs( so cool ) on the very bottom of the stems. When can I transplant them to pots to grow on and what size and type should I use as I am in Chicago area and winter is a comin. Do I need to wait till they are bigger on the bottom and the leaves green parts die or what ,, I need expert help so I can get these puppies to grow big and beautiful. Also have question on bulbs . When you start to see the new growth should you limit it to one leaf group and eliminate any others that compete.
