What month do Episcias bloom?

Which season do Episcias bloom? Or do species differ?

Is there anything that helps promote buds?

What about Lace Flower? Is it an Episcia? Does it need the same care? Thanks, Toni

What is Lace Flower??? Alsobia? About the same.

Episcias bloom when they are happy. If you pinch off the stolons and give it fish emulsion - it will grow strong and bloom. If you pinch the buds and give it fish emulsion - or just regular fertilizer - it will grow tons of stolons.
For me red and yellow blooming episcias( descendants of Episcia cupreata) bloom better than the descendants of Episcia Lilacina (Blue Nile = I am stil to see a single flower.) I think one of the most floriferous yellows - is Suomi, and the miniature Silver Skies is a really good red bloomer. Pink Panther is a beautiful pink.
