Seedpod on my lipstick plant!

Hey, one of my lipstick plants I just got has developed a seed pod! Is this common? I wish I could tell you which cultivar/species it is, but, it had a burgundy calyx, and the flower was a tomato red, and wide and looked like a traditional lipstick shape. The leaves are green with no red tinting to them. It wasn't that floriferous compared to my other ones. They also have more narrow flowers than this one.

Anyhow, do you think the seeds would be viable? How common is it for these plants to set seed? I'm excited, I'll definitely save them and plant them... does the pod ripen quickly or take several months? And how big are the seeds? I'll put a baggie over them to keep them from going anywhere when I see signs of drying and splitting (its long and thin right now,) but will these be specks? Or dust? Or big enough to just manipulate somewhat? What should I expect? I'm excited! :)
