Cuttings get buds

| The cuttings of my lipstick plant get buds. Is it normal? Should I leave the buds to bloom or should I disbud to encourage grow? Thanks for your inputs.

| I don't think it's all that unusual for that one, though it might be less common for others. I usually disbud any young cuttings to promote more growth. |

| Sure tempting to leave them on, though, isn't it? But as Komi said--it'll take strength from the plant to bloom. It happens because cuttings are taken from tip growth, which may have buds already set--even buds too small to notice. |
