| looks like sinningia speciosa = florist gloxinia Is it one of your seedlings? Irina |
| Hi Irina yes but the flower is only an inch across and the leaves are quite different. Yes it is one of my seedlings........ Thanks |
| Domeman - I still think it is a hybrid sinningia. I do not have gloxinias in my collection, but I have several sinningias - species and hybrids - minis and micros - and the leaves are quite similar - I do not have such interesting pale green with red veins color. And the shape of the flower reminds a gloxinia. I would think if you pollinate or self-pollinate gloxinia - you will get smalls and biggies as well. But - hope somebody else will pitch in. Let's wait Irina |
| Perhaps Sinningia guttata? The leaves are a delightful pink underneath. |
| I think you are right. I looked once more at the S.guttata at the gesneriads.ca and on a third photo - it looks similar. May be more nitrogen and it will green up? I. |
| Hi, the leaves look odd for guttata but that's what I think you have. The flowers look just like guttata. It was quite rare and the clone in cultivation was weak and sterile. About five years ago Mauro Pexioto introduced a new seed collection, and now it is being grown by quite a few people. I don't know if it made its way to the mixed seed though. |

| Jon - long time no see. Great to have you back. Irina |
