Hi Monica,

Have been looking around and the only store I have been able to find so far is Lynden Lyons. He sells lipstick plants to Canada. Unfortunately he only ships during the summer months. That is between May 1 and October 31 weather permitting. His URL is the following:

http://www.lyndonlyon.com/index.html

I will also put it at the bottom

Larry

Here is a link that might be useful: Lyndon Lyons Greenhouse

You Canadians have some great resources! Check out the Gesneriad Garage online (remove the space in their name, add dot com to the end) and click on Other Gesneriads - they have several named varieties of Lipstick plants (Aeschenanthus).

Also, the Toronto Gesneriad Society is very active.

Lyndon Lyons is great, too. I have the good fortune to drive by their location every few months, on the way to and from visiting my father. I LOVE stopping in to the greenhouses, and I've always found them to be friendly and inviting to visitors! LLG's owner, Paul Sorano (grandson to Lyons, who was one of the first hybridizers of AV's) is really friendly, and a treasure trove of knowledge on all things gesneriad. The greenhouse is amazing, especially in the winter, when you can walk in out of the cold, and be greeted by rows and rows of happy african violet blooms. Ah, its just heavenly. Everything looks good to me, and my pre-determined budget or thoughts of "just 3 plants" usually flies out the window, LOL! I always have some space reserved in my car "in case" I get anything. Its never gone unoccupied yet!

Good luck on your quest!
-Jane
