I was given this lovely little plant at my african violet society meeting and it bloomed!Not sure what its name is...seems to like humity though...

Hi, you appear to have a streptocarpella, they come in white and several shades of purple. I have one that blooms mainly during the summer when it is outside in the sun. They tend to get leggy but you can easily trim them and root these pieces. Most of the time you see these plants being sold as a hanging basket. My mother in law just keeps the rooting pieces in a vase for months on end and they will even bloom that way. From everything I have read they do require a lot of light or sun to bloom well. Janice
