Thanks for the post with the pictures, Komi! I hadn't realized that the flowers on Codonanthe devosiana 'Paula' had so much pink. Another Codonanthe I grow is C. devosiana 'Pink' which has strong pink around the entire periphery of the blossom. I have been trying to pollinate it to get seeds into the Seed Fund of the Gesneriad Society. Speaking of donating seed, I notice that the latest listing of seeds in the fund do not have either A. longicaulis of C. devosiana 'Paula'............
I must get busy and do more pollinating today. The pistil of Nematanthus brasiliensis is ripe so I will put the saved pollen from a previous blossom on it to get more seed pods. This is the best way to pollinate the species of Nematanthus that only produce a few flowers at a time since the anthers mature several days before the pistil is receptive.

I sent in a few pods' worth of A. longicaulis seeds to the fund several months ago. It may not have made it in, or... I wonder if it is listed under it's old name...? I haven't checked.

I think this round of blooms on Paula is pinker than usual. The person I got cuttings from grows on the windowsill - I don't think her flowers are as pink. I grow under fluorescents and this is the first real blooming for me (last round was minimal).
