some gesneriad maintenance today

well, this forum is a little slow, so I thought I'd post something. I did some gesneriad maintenance today, like trimming off foliage from plants that are almost dormant (I'm growing indoors under lights so many just slow down).

I tried pollinating an episcia (have not been successful in the past), and pollinated Aeschynanthus longicaulis again. I got a good photo of the purple-grey pollen (not powdery yet...)

and I opened up a couple of streptos carpus seed pods:

A friend of mine brought me a Smithiantha Texas Freckles and I'm just amazed at the fuzzy velvety foliage:

A couple of the codonanthes that I cut back severely a few months ago are covered in buds. I suppose I'll have to try pollinating these as well. C. devosiana 'Paula':
