| Every year we plant Silver Queen we average a height of fourteen feet from ground to tassel tip, with a few stalks going over fifteen feet. We grow our corn organically and only side dress with a little chicken compost, and off it grows.
What is the tallest corn you have ever grown? |

| Here are a few of my tallest. I usually hold an auction a week on ebay. Just search for 'giant maize'

|
| Nice! Do you grow organically or do you use more conventional methods? Just curious. |

| In the fall I collect grass clippings, pine needles, and leaves and throw them in the garden. I also discard newspapers and shredded junk mail into the garden. Before I plant, I throw down a a few bags of kelp meal and cotton seed meal. When the plants start to get large I use those new miracle-grow canisters that attach to the end of your hose. I do a light feeding every day or every other day. Usually about one canister per day for the entire garden. The picture with my baby and I in front of the garage, that plant didn't get the fertilizer, because the hose didn't reach; so they can get that big with no fertilization. |

| Does it taste good though. Out here we have taber corn and its the best in the world!!!!! What does this giant corn taste like... |

| The tallest corn stalk that I have grown was measured at the Royal Winter Fair the height was 28 feet 9 5/8 inches in 1997. This year I have grown a corn stalk which measured 25 feet 6 inches tall at Port Elgin Pumpkinfest. You can see a picture of it at the Giant Vegetable Growers of Ontario web site, www.gvgo.ca |

| Im not sure, My plants are still growing.I have a few cobs, but as you know tall corn over 20 feet never gets enough time to put on mature cobs. My 25 foot 6 inch was picked early for the show at Port Elgin Pumpkinfest. |

| How long does it take for the corn to produce seeds ? Like 120 , 140 , 160 days ? |
