Two weeks ago I bought an asparagus plant from walmart. I cannot plant it for another two weeks as my garden is elsewhere. It is growing approx. 2" a day. This morning I measured it at 30" yesterday it was 27". It has already grown since this morning. At this rate I will not be able to get it in my car. I do not post often but thought this information fit this forum. Mary Washington, can't wait to plant it as I have purchased "skyrocket" compost and by all accounts with this compost you will have giant vegetables........................ time will tell.
