Big moon?

I saw some Big Moon pumpkin seeds at the checkout counter at the local nursery the other day and I bought some. The package says they can get over 200 lbs. Are they serious, or just trying to make money. Obviously I'm new to the giant thing. Is it too late to plant them? I live in Southern Illinois, and the first frost usually occurs mid to late october, but is possible in september. Should I wait till next year and not waste my time?

It shouldn't be too late for you to plant. Most pumkins require 120 days or less to ripen.
