Pollinating AG's

Posted by impactconstinc (My Page) on

I'm having probems with my AG plant. I'm getting female flowers opening but the male flowers are not opening at the same time. I think I may have used too much Nitrogen which I've stopped, and substituted with 0-20-0 foliar spray. My question however is this: Can I freeze male flowers and use them to pollinate the females if this problem happens again?

RE: Pollinating AG's

You would need to freeze them with Liquid Nitrogen for the pollen to remain viable. Males usually come in bloom 10 days prior to the females blooming.
